Cityco HISTORY

Cityco Fire Protection Inc., was founded in 1979 by Fioravante Capirchio in Cranston, Rhode Island.

After fulfilling his duties in the armed services, Fioravante went to college to study Architectural Design. Shortly after graduating, he was eager to apply his design knowledge and was hired by a local architectural firm to design fire protection systems.

Fioravante quickly developed a unique ability for designing fire protection systems and after a few years, he decided he wanted to also install them to obtain a complete understanding of the entire process - from designing to installation.

Shortly after this, he started Cityco Fire Protection Inc.

He established the company with the goals of providing quality fire protection services, while prioritizing customer satisfaction and on-time installations that would assure repeat business and referrals from local developers and clients alike.

His passion and dedication established the core foundation for what the business has been, and continues to be today.

In 2005, Frank Capirchio, joined his brother at Cityco Fire Protection Inc. Frank not only was able to learn the trade quickly, but he also had a distinct ability of working with his hands, which allowed him to quickly excel in the family business.

These two particular traits, combined with his General Contracting License, which he received in 1992, were a significant addition to the company.

Cityco in California

After 8 years of working together with Fioravante in Cranston, Frank decided to obtain his C-16 Fire Protection license to continue his brothers legacy in California.

In 2013, Cityco Fire Protection Inc., opened its doors for business in Torrance, California.

Frank’s goals were to continue the same quality and commitment that his brother founded back in Rhode Island.

As a former General Contractor it was an easy transition into the fire protection field. His experience with constructing buildings and structures gave him the significant advantage to design, engineer and install fire protection systems.
